San Diego Weekend...

Carrie, Josiah and I had a fantastic weekend with my brother Karsten's family in San Diego last weekend. It was so worth the trip! The cousins got to play together, Karsten and I had some brotherly bonding time playing Nerf Football in the street with the boys and just talking, and Kim and Carrie had some quality time sharing and enjoying each other's company.

We are looking forward to doing it again although for a longer period. :) And possibly taking Southwest down instead of driving... :)

We'll see...

Update on Josiah...

Today, Josiah had his 2 month appointment with Dr. Stark, his pediatrician. She found him to be healthy and happy. He keeps growing and changing so quickly. Since birth, he has gained 4.5 lbs, grown 4.5 inches and is now in the 25% and 35% respectively. :)

He received 4 immunizations yesterday (3 of them being shots) and only cried for 1-2 minutes after getting the shots. He has done a LOT of sleeping yesterday and today probably because of the shots and the impact to his little system.

He is a trooper and a happy baby! We are so blessed!

Carrie enjoys motherhood...

Carrie is doing so well as a new mother. Our OB/GYN gave Carrie the all clear about 2 weeks ago and said that Carrie was officially "Superwoman". When asked why, our OB said that she hasn't seen someone who carries the baby all in front and then as a first time mom has labor and delivery all natural with no epidural or anything in about 8 hours. Additionally, Carrie only pushed for 15-20 minutes. After a fourth degree tear, she was completely healed after 6 weeks and didn't take the pain meds once. That was why our OB called her a "Superwoman". :)

Can't wait to see what happens with baby number 2 if the Lord so chooses to bless us! :)
