Nine months old...

It is hard to believe that Josiah is 9 months old today! We are so blessed to have him in our life and we are earnestly seeking after the Lord as we raise him to glorify and honor Him!

No luck...

The Briggs' family has had no luck recently with our pets. On June 1, 2009, we lost our 1.5 yr old black Standard Poodle, Jackson to an autoimmune hemolytic anemia attack which took our vivacious, healthy dog in a matter of 2 days.

On July 11, 2009, we traveled down to Fresno to pick up Reagan, a black Standard Poodle puppy, only to find out 2 weeks later that Reagan had a genetic disorder called Chondrodysplasia. This condidtion is normally found in Basset Hounds, English Bulldogs or Daschunds. It is an extremely bowing of the front legs which can lead to immobility and other serious health issues.

We had to make the difficult decision exercise our contract with the breeder and return Reagan this past Thursday. Even though Reagan had been a part of our family for only 3.5 weeks, it felt as though he had been with us all along. His personality was great and he LOVED Josiah! He was completely potty trained and loved being with HIS people!

We are taking a break and enjoying our son and Harrison! Eventually, we will add another puppy to our household.
