Blessings...

The Briggs Family has been so blessed over the course of the last year!

Last year, our church in California, Soaring Oaks Presbyterian Church, stood firm, sought the truth and was not persuaded to follow an alliance or friendship over the truth. The more information that was forthcoming, the more reassured we were of our decision.

We were blessed with the birth of our second son, Caleb Joshua. A complete miracle...water breaking at 17 weeks...strict bed rest, no contractions, 1.5 gallons of water drunk daily, enough amniotic fluid sustained to allow him to develop...delivery by a nurse...8 weeks of NICU...PERFECTLY HEALTHY!!!

Then, the Lord opened a door for us with a job promotion and relocation out of state. We've been blessed with a new church body who have been a tremendous support.

Our family continues to grow as well...Lord willing, in December 2011, we will be welcoming girls into the Briggs' household. Yes, I did say 'girls'. Shock factor - HIGH!!! We are expecting TWINS!

Carrie has been a trooper throughout this pregnancy as well. She has been on modified bed rest for the better part of 9 weeks with 16 weeks to go. Both girls are doing well and growing! The reason for the bed rest has been a sub-chorionic hematoma (basically a blood clot) between the girls and the cervix.

Your prayers during this time and for the delivery of the girls would be greatly appreciated! Carrie's sister, Julia, moved in with us (has the basement apartment) to assist while Carrie is on bed rest and after the girls come. Julia has been such an amazing blessing!

In Him alone,

The Briggs Family
