Answer to prayer...

As many of you probably already know, it is extremely common for pregnant women to have Group B Streptococcus in the birth canal. Usually, they give women IV antibiotics for about 4 hours prior to delivery.

Fortunately and unfortunately, Carrie's labor and delivery was extremely fast. She was only able to have the IV antibiotics for about 2 hours so there was some concern that Josiah would contract Group B Streptococcus.

Today before we left the hospital we got the good news that he is free and clear of Group B Streptococcus so will not be needing to take antibiotics. Now, we can just focus on raising our little boy and giving him the best start possible!

Thank you to everyone who was lifting both Carrie and Josiah up in their prayers! As Scripture clearly teaches, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16
